Responsible for repair and maintenance of studio including electric and kick wheels. Organized glaze materials, mixing and calculations room, and standardized glazes for all undergraduate classes including testing and tiles. Built display case & area for student work. EDUCATIONAL TRAVEL

Spring 1999 -I traveled solo for 5 weeks throughout Japan to visit historical kiln sites (Bizen, Kiyumizidera, Imari, Arita, Tombe, etc.) tour museums, temples and shrines focusing on both contemporary and historic Japanese art. I attended workshops on ceramic throwing and firing techniques as well as demonstrations in Ikebana, Yuzen dying, wood block prints and calligraphy. I visited Master Shibata, curator of the Osaka Folk Art Museum and a Japanese master potter. I toured this museum and stayed at his studio, kiln and home in Tombe.

Fall 1996 - I traveled in France, Italy and Greece for 6 weeks touring historical, contemporary and indigenous cultural museums, buildings and areas. My time was concentrated in the cities of Paris, Venice, Florence, Rome, Athens, and on the Island of Crete.
